“Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Acquainted with the things they utter. And say:
رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَنْ يَحْضُرُونِ
Rabbi ‘aoodhubika min hamazaatish-shayaateen, wa ‘a
oodhu bika rabbi ‘ay-yahdhuroon.
[My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the whisperings (suggestions) of the Shayatin (devils). And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! Lest they may attend (or come near) me.]”
[Al-Qur’an Surah Al-Mu’minun, 23.96-98]

💎 Which River of Purification for US???
Those who have sinned have three rivers in which they can seek purification in this world; and
♦️ If they are not sufficient to purify him, they are purified in the river of the Fire on the Day of Resurrection.
These are:
🔹 The river of sincere repentance,
🔹 The river of good deeds that drown out the burdens surrounding them, and
🔹 The river of great afflictions that expiate.
♦️When God wishes well for a servant, He enters him into one of these three rivers so that he comes on the Day of Resurrection clean and pure and does not need the fourth river.

💔Consequences of Committing Sins
Sins have a repugnantly vile and damaging effect on the heart and body in the worldly life and the Hereafter, the likes of which none can truly know except Allah. Some of them below:
♦️ Lack of success,
♦️ Invalid views,
♦️ Absence of righteousness,
♦️ Corruption of the heart,
♦️ Failing to praise Allah,
♦️ Wasting time,
♦️ Avoidance of other creations,
♦️ Separation between the servant and his Lord,
♦️ Supplications not being answered,
♦️ Constriction of the heart,
♦️ Decaying of blessings in subsistence and age,
♦️ Prevention of attaining knowledge,
♦️ Humiliation,
♦️ Insults from enemies,
♦️A constricted breast,
♦️ Evil friends that will spoil one’s heart and waste time,
♦️ Sadness and grief,
♦️ A miserable life, and
♦️ Disappointment.
All that results from sins and neglecting to praise Allah, as plants grow by being watered but are consumed by fire. The opposite of the above are the consequences of obedience to Allah, the Almighty.

The Ill Effects of Sins in This Life and the Hereafter have been discussed in detail in the book – “The Disease and The Cure {Al-Jawab al-Kafi Liman Sal ‘An al-Dawã al-Shafi(The Sufficient Answer for the One Who Asked About the Remedial Cure)} ~ Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya”.
May Allah subḥānahu wa ta’āla forgive us & bless us with guidance always…
Let’s re-look at this Hadith & recite sayyid-al-Istighfar atleast once daily👇
Hadith:- The Prophetﷺ said “The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is:
‘Allahumma anta Rabbi laa ilaaha illa anta, Khalaqtani wa ana Abduka, wa anaa
ala ahdika wa wa
dika mastatatu, A
oodhu bika min Sharri ma sanatu, abu'u Laka bini
matika `alaiya, wa abu’u laka bidhanbi faghfir lee fa innahu laa yaghfiru adhdhunuba illaa anta.’
(O Allah! You are my Rubb. There is no true god except You. You have created me, and I am Your slave, and I hold to Your Covenant as far as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge the favours that You have bestowed upon me, and I confess my sins. Pardon me, for none but You has the power to pardon).”
The Prophetﷺ added. “If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise.”
