✨Virtue of offering four units[rak’ahs] of Salatul Duha👇

A’oodhu-Billahi-Minash-shaytanir-Rajeem.

Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Raheem.

Laa ilaaha illallaah Muhammad’ur Rasoolullah.

Assalamu-Alaikum-wa-Rahmatullahi-wa-Barakaatahu.

💎Hadith:- Abu Huraira(radhiyallahu anhu)reported: My dear friend the Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wasallam), advised me to do three deeds & I will never abandon them until I die:

♦️to fast three days of every month,

♦️to offer the duha (forenoon) prayer, &

♦️to offer Witr prayer before sleeping.

📚Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 1178(Sahih), Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 721a(Sahih).

💎Hadith:- Mu’adha(radhiyallahu anhu) asked ‘A’isha(radhiyallahu anha) how many rak’ahs Messenger of Allahﷺ prayed at the forenoon prayer. She replied: Four units [rak’ahs], but sometimes more as he pleased.

📚Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 719a(Sahih).

💎Hadith:- Nu’aym ibn Hammar(radhiyallahu anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allahﷺ said, “Allah Almighty says: O son of Adam, do not be frustrated to perform four units [rak’ahs] of prayer for me at the beginning of your day. I will suffice you till the end of it.”

📚Sunan Abī Dāwūd 1289 (Sahih)

💎Hadith:- Uqbah ibn ‘Amir(radhiyallahu anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah‎ﷺ said, “Verily, Allah Almighty says: O son of Adam, suffice Me with four units [rak’ahs] of prayer at the beginning of the morning & by them I will suffice you for the rest of your day.”

📚Musnad Aḥmad 17390 (Sahih)

💎Hadith:- Jubair narrated from Abu Ad-Darda, or Abu Dharr, (radhiyallahu anhum) that : Allah’s Messengerﷺ narrated that Allah, Blessed and Most High said: “Son of Adam: Perform four units [rak’ahs] for Me in the beginning of the day, I will suffice you for the latter part of it.”

📚Jami` at-Tirmidhi 475(Sahih).

❗️Note:- The Muhaddithun have mentioned various meanings wrt the interpretation of hadith “…sufficing for the rest of the day”. Few of them being:

🔹Protection from calamities & harmful events.

🔹Protection from falling into sin.

🔹Management of all needs and affairs.

Only Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’āla knows the best…

All the praise and appreciation is due to Allāh…

🤲Allahumma inni as’aluka Ridaak wal Jannatul Firdaws wa audhubika min sakhatik wan’naar.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ رِضَاكَ وَالجَنّةُ الفِردَوْس، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ وَالنَّارِ

[O Allah, I ask of Your pleasure & for the highest level of (gardens of) Paradise, & I seek refuge from Your displeasure & from the Hell-fire.]
