____________
♥️ Maintain with care the [five obligatory] prayers and [in particular] the middle prayer and stand in true devotion before Allah. [Al-Qur’ān 2:238]
♥️ Establish prayer at the decline of the sun [from its meridian] until the darkness of the night and [also] the Qur’an of dawn. Indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed. [Al-Qur’ān 17:78 – an indication for the five daily prayers]
♥️ And glorify the praises of your Lord before the rising of the sun, and before its setting, and during some of the hours of the night, and at the both ends of the day, that you may become pleased with the reward which Allah shall give you. [Al-Qur’ān 20:130 – an indication for the five daily prayers]
♥️ Establish prayer at both ends of the day [dawn (Fajr) and afternoon (Zuhr/Asr)] and in the early part of the night (Maghrib/Isha). Surely good deeds wipe out evil deeds. That is a reminder for the mindful. [Al-Qur’ān 11:114 – an indication for the five daily prayers]
🔑❤️ The Prophetﷺ said, “People keep on sinning but when they offer the morning prayer it washes them. Then they keep on sinning but when they offer the Zuhr prayer it washes them. Then they sin again but when they offer the Asr prayer it washes them. Then they keep on sinning and when they offer Maghrib prayers it washes them. Then they keep on sinning and when you offer Isha prayers it washes them. Then they fall asleep and their sins are not written till they awake.”
📚 Mu’jam as-Saghir 1/91, 121.
🔑❤️ Ibn Mas’ood(radhiyallahu anhu) narrated: The Prophetﷺ said, “At the approach of the hour of a Salaat, an Angel is deputed to proclaim, ‘Arise, O Children of Adam(alayhi salam)! and extinguish the fire that you have (by committing sins) kindled to burn yourselves. So the people rise up, perform Wudhu and offer their Zuhr prayer. This causes forgiveness of their sins committed since day-break. The same is repeated at Asr, Maghrib and Ishaa. After Ishaa people go to bed, but there are some who busy themselves in good, while some others in evil deeds.”
📚 Mu’jam al-Kabir and At-Targhib wat-Tarhib.
