أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ وَبِوَجْهِهِ الْكَرِيمِ وَسُلْطَانِهِ الْقَدِيمِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
[I seek refuge in Allāh, the Magnificent, and in His noble face, and in his eternal domain, from the accursed Devil.]
🟣 Hadith:- Abu Huraira(radhiyallahu anhu) narrated that some people from amongst the Companions of the Apostle(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) came to him and said:
“Verily we perceive in our minds that which every one of us considers it too grave to express.”
The Prophetﷺ said: “Do you really perceive it?”
They said: “Yes.”
Upon this heﷺ remarked: That is the faith manifest (That is a clear sign of faith).
📚 Sahih Muslim 132(Sahih).
Al-Nawawi said in his commentary regarding this hadith: “The Prophet’sﷺ words, ‘That is a clear sign of faith’ means, the fact that – thinking of this waswaas as something terrible is a clear sign of faith, for if you dare not utter it and you are so afraid of it and of speaking of it, let alone believing it, this is the sign of one who has achieved perfect faith and who is free of doubt.”
And it was said that what it means is that the Shaytaan only whispers to those whom he despairs of tempting, because he is unable to tempt them.
🔴 Hadith:- Uthman bin Abu al-‘Aas(radhiyallahu anhu) reported that he came to Messenger of Allahﷺ and said:
“Allah’s Messengerﷺ, the Satan intervenes between me and my prayer and my reciting of the Qur’an and he confounds me.”
Thereupon Messenger of Allahﷺ said:
“That is (the doing of the Satan) who is known as Khinzab, and when you perceive its effect, seek refuge with Allahﷻ from it and spit (drily) three times to your left. I did that and Allahﷻ dispelled that from me.”
📚 Sahih Muslim 2203(Sahih).
(أَعُوْذُ بِاللّٰهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطٰانِ الرَّجِيْمِ – A’oodhu-Billahi-Minash-shaytanir-Rajeem)
🟢 Hadith:- Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas(radhiyallahu anhu): A man came to the Prophetﷺ and said:
“Messenger of Allahﷺ! one of us has thoughts of such nature that he would rather be reduced to charcoal than speak about them.”
Heﷺ said:
AllahuAkbar AllahuAkbar AllahuAkbar Alhamdulillahi’lladhee radda kaydahu ilal’waswasah.
[Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great. Praise be to Allah Who has reduced the guile of the devil to evil prompting.]
Ibn Qudamah(radhiyallahu anhu) said “reduced his matter” ( radda amrahu – رَدَّ أَمْرَهُ ) instead of “reduced his guile”.
📚 Sunan Abi Dawood 5112(Sahih).
Only Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’āla knows the best…
